Oolite V5.1 upgrade

5.Upgrade the firmware and uboot by httpd 15

1.Preparatory work

 

Open "SecureCRT" in double-click.

The first time use,click "quick link",show in following figure.

 

Select protocol for "telnet",host ip is 192.168.1.1 ,

Enter 192.168.1.1

(password default password is NULL)

Click login

Click system->backup/Flash Firmware

Backup the configuration

Click generate archive 

Backup the system

 

Link up secureCRT( by telent)

Type the command:cat /proc/mtd 

We backup the firmware

Type the command :dd if=/dev/mtd5 of=/tmp/firmware.bin

Set the password(by LUCI)

Save

6.Link the 192.168.1.1 by winscp

he left side is the windows 7 system files,and the right is the Oolite V5.1 system files.

The need to update the file, download to the right of the “tmp” directory.

2.Upgrade the firmware by LUCI

You can upgrade the all system by LUCI but you should backup the whole system

Click the system->backup/flash firmware 

Click the proceed 

3.upgrade the firm by tftp

 

Link the serials likr this

Run   SecureCRTPortable

Reboot the system

Click the “enter” to uboot mod

 

Run the Tftpd32

Type the command :tftp 0x81000000 xxxx.bin

Wait until done 

We can see we upload the file size is f80000 hex

 

And then erease  the firmware

Type the command : erase 0x9f020000 +FD0000

done

Type the command : cp.b 0x81000000 0x9f020000 f80000

 

Wait until the upgrade done

Reset the system and the upgrade

3.upgrade firmware by MTD + winscp

 

(1)Update Firmware

Open the power supply,waiting for system start to finish. Set “root” password

Open the “winscp” software in windows 7

 

The left side is the windows 7 system files,and the right is the “Oolite v5.1” system files.

The need to update the file, download to the right of the “tmp” directory.

 

In the SecureCRT console,enter  the “tmp” directory.

cd   /tmp

mtd  erase /dev/mtd5

mtd write xxx.bin    /dev/mtd5

(2).Firmware backup

      Enter the “tmp” directory,execute the “cp” command。

 

The “fireware.bin” file copy by winscp to windows 7.

 

5.Upgrade the firmware and uboot by httpd

Press the enter get into the uboot mod

 

Type command :httpd

Enter 192.168.1.1

 

 

Choice Bootloder to upgrade uboot
Or 
Choice firmware to upgrade firmware

Don’t power off while system is upgrading
